Greetings Covenmate, How is your summer going? Have you read any good books? As you may know, The Prescient Witch has been on sale in the Kindle store for .99 cents since I announced book two. Sadly that sale is coming to a close on July 17th. But I'm going to be celebrating summer by concluding the sale with the Indie Author Extravaganza! Cheap Books? Yes, Please.Lots of Indie Authors have come together for this four day event to provide free or discounted books. You'll find The Priestess Witch and The Prescient Witch at this link. You'll also see the books of my critique partner JJ Otis in there too. Her books, The Divine Witches Duology are witchy YA as well. If you click on the other tabs at the bottom you'll see lots more genres of indie books to explore. Please share the summer reading love with your bookish friends by sharing this link, which I will be sharing all over social media this weekend. In other news, the launch of The Prescient Witch is sadly over and things have quieted down. Book launches are stressful! And right now I'm in my element, writing book three. The Tempest Witch follows Emmalyn Shine. She's been a tough cookie to crack but I'm having fun getting to know her. I wrote a first draft of book three several years ago, before I'd even edited book one. So re-drafting book three was necessary because so much has changed in the editing process. I also know Emma better now than I did back then. And I can't wait for you to know her too. If you have read the books please consider leaving a review on Amazon and Goodreads. Reviews are the best way to support an author. They help propel the book into searches, help the book get seen more. And they don't have to be long either! Even a one little line review helps immensely. A couple more little things I wanted to let you know. I've joined Threads! Threads is a new text based social media platform similar to Twitter, but so far it's been a much more fun and positive space. My feed is full of writers and readers just chatting about what they're reading, how their writing is going, and what their favorite things are. So hop on over to Threads if you'd like to join in the conversation. I also wanted to let you know that I will be having my very first book signing in August at a local library here in Florida. The date isn't quite set yet but I'll let you know as soon as I do. And I'll tell you all about it afterwards. I'm excited, and a little nervous to do my first in person author event. Guess I better start practicing my signature. This newsletter is now concluded, which means it's time for...a witchy joke! What do you call a witch that drank too much coffee? A twitchy witchy. -Katerina |
